.DE Domains Available for Registration and Managemen

.DE DOMAINS AVAILABLE FOR REGISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

We would like to let you know that the TLD .de has been introduced in the Web Hosting Control Panel and you can now register and manage a .de domain name with ease. This is a country top level domain for Germany. We believe that all our customers from Germany will be pleased to know they can now register a .de domain name with us. The Registry for this country TLD is DENIC and there are few peculiarities when registering a .de domain name that we would like to share with you:

WHOIS / Contact Information: For a registration process to be successful the postal address as a whole must be a German one for the administrative contact details. If this requirement is not met, or the address is incorrect, DENIC may reject the registration process. An additional step has been added after the WHOIS information entry menu.
Registration Period: There is nothing new here. The period is the same – 1 to 10 years. Multiple renewal option is available.
Domain Renewal: .DE TLD can be renewed up to 10 days prior to the domain name expiration. If not renewed 10 days before the expiration the registry will put the domain name into a “transit” status and attempt to contact the owner of the domain name. If within four weeks the domain name is not re-claimed, the domain name will be transferred to DENICredit and they must be contacted directly from the owner in order to obtain the domain name for a certain penalty fee.
WHOIS / ID Protection: There is no WHOIS protection for .de TLDs.
Registrar Change / Transfer: Transfer of a .de domain name is impossible since a change of registrar is not an option DENIC allows.
