.COM.MX Extension Added to the Domain List

.COM.MX EXTENSION ADDED TO THE DOMAIN LIST

We are pleased to inform you that our clients can now register and manage a .COM.MX TLD extension with us from their Domain Manager in the Web Hosting Control Panel. This is of course the country TLD for Mexico. The interesting part is that it is not restricted to clients from Mexico. In other words this domain name can be purchased from all our clients irregardless of their country of origin or residence. This TLD is a service offered from nicMX which is the registry. Below we will introduce you to the special requirements for this domain name registration process:
Registration Period: .COM.MX domain names can only be registered for two years. That is the minimum and maximum registration period.
Domain Renewal: The domain name can be renewed for a minimum of 1 year prior to the expiration. If the domain name is left to expire, it cannot be obtained any more. It will be released for registration within 16 days of the expiration.
Pre-Configuration: This is an extra field which is needed since the registrar is obliged to agree to the previously mentioned renewal policy of nicMX.
WHOIS Management: WHOIS changes after a registration of a .com.mx domain name can be done only manually by opening up a Trouble ticket from the Help Center menu inside the Web Hosting Control Panel. Then our support team will contact the registrar of the domain name and will pass the new whois information so that the registrar may approve or discard it.
WHOIS / ID Protection: There is no such service for the .com.mx TLD.
Registrar Change / Transfer: A transfer can only be made available away from us to another company. We cannot transfer domain names towards us.
We are currently making the necessary updates in order to facilitate the .de TLD. We will keep you posted once we do.
