Canadian domains updated

Recently, CIRA, the agency that administers the registration of .CA domain names, made some changes to their internal structure. As a result, there are some changes in regards to the .CA domain names.

For existing .CA domain names:

  • .CA domain names now require an EEP code to be transferred, just like .COM or .ORG domain names do
  • The WHOIS info of .CA domain names can now be freely modified at any time via the Domain Manager section of the Control Panel

For new .CA domain name registrations:

  • Each new domain registrant must now agree to CIRA’s Terms and Agreement. This is reflected on our order form.
