Brand New File Manager – Coming Shortly!

We would like to let our present and future clients that a crucial upgrade is to be released very soon – a brand new File Manager! This new version will completely change the existing File manager and will facilitate many innovative functions.

The new File Manager has been developed from our top-notch developers and will satisfy even the most demanding clientele. The cornerstones when creating the new File Manager were navigation, editing systems tools and utilization. One of the many new features will be the innovative option to actually upload an archive file (zip/rar) and auto-unarchive it in the pre-selected folder and you can even see the actual uploading process by means of a display progress bar. What else is new? Well for one the ability to edit/view your files IN the control panel so you don’t have to download them on your computer for editing and having to upload them back on the server when done. This is done through the WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get) editor.

The official release date of the File Manager is not exact but is expected to be introduced within one month. Below we cover the basic review of the new functionality of the File Manager so our clients can familiarize themselves with it in advance and get in touch with us with any suggestions:
All parts of the history path name will be links (e.g. www/yourdomain.com/randomfolder/) – which will speed up the browsing within the File manager greatly;
A new Fast Access section will be placed on the right – this is also to greatly improve the browseability with the help of a drop down menu for instant access throughout folders as well as domain names and subdomain names on your vhost (virtual host);
All file names will be links, which will open up a menu with available options for the different file types and folders. This tooltip will recognize editable files and will show the respective Editing option with WYSIWYG editor or in plain text editor. Of course you can directly see the file in the web mode in your browser as well;
The file info field will be enhanced with a name and size option as well as a permissions change button as well as Edit/Move/Delete buttons in the right of every file;
The upload file boxes will be the real innovation of this new upgrade. Even though the size of the file that you can upload will be the same, You can now upload and unarchive a zip/rar archive in the respective folder. You will be able to track the progress via a display bar;
The multi-selection buttons will be at your disposal once more;
‘Disk Usage’ field will now show you the disc space you have used and the free space remaining in a graphical progress bar.
The new File Manager has a purpose of bringing the utilization of your Web Hosting Control Panel into to a new level while remaining as much user friendly as possible.
